Lakeside in Burnham-on-Sea is the perfect base for exploring the secrets of Somerset’s beautiful coastline, which starts a few minutes’ walk away from the resort with the famous 7-mile beach stretching to historic Brean Down. You can take the cycle path to Weston-Super-Mare with its fantastic multi-million pound new pier or take a stroll through the unspoilt countryside, taking in the renowned Somerset Levels, maybe stopping off at Wells (England’s smallest city), marvel at Cheddar Gorge, be charmed by the Mendip or Quantock Hills with their pretty villages hidden away and discover some great pubs just waiting to refresh weary travellers as well!
You could of course, simply stay on park and relax looking out over the peaceful tree-lined fishing lake, or simply wind down and catch up on your reading, then enjoy a glass of wine and something to eat in our onsite bar and restaurant, The Boathouse. Lakeside is also just a short, level walk from the High Street and all the traditional seaside attractions.
